Lights Off is a non-profit organization aimed towards solving the issue of high power consumption. Through its branding, the organization informs and encourages people to save energy through lights in both cost-free and monetary ways, making it possible for anyone to save money while also saving the Earth.

Developed clear brand identity with a consistent unplugging theme that speaks to the purpose of the brand: saving energy. Created various deliverables with recognizable icons and text that include easy ways to save energy, along with a chart comparison demonstrating why LED light bulbs are much more efficient and cost-friendly. Designed a website incorporating elements from the deliverables.

LOGO & CONCEPT

Being a call-to-action organization, I decided on a straightforward name that would speak for itself of what brand's purpose is. With this in mind, I came up with the name "Lights Off."

The logo combines both a power button and a light bulb, making it an intuitive and easily recognizable logo that effectively matches the brand's mission statement. The colors gold and gray were chosen to represent a light bulb’s colors, with the bright gold being used to provide a nice contrast to the dark gray.

PHYSICAL DELIVERABLES

Project includes box packaging, brochure, poster, and magnets that guests can take home for free upon attending events. The physical deliverables are intended to inform and remind people on ways that they can save energy through lights, whether through text or visuals. Magnets, which can be placed on the fridge, are included with the intention of something would be seen every day as a constant reminder.

The plug theme is emphasized throughout through an interactive element of separating plugs, such as the unplugging that occurs when opening the gate-fold brochure and bringing the plug magnets apart.

WEBSITE

With the assets made for the Lights Off project, I later created a two page responsive website with HTML and CSS so that people could also access the information anywhere digitally.  I started by making a wireframe for each page while keeping in mind where the location of each element should be. Then, I used Bootstrap in Adobe Dreamweaver to develop both responsive pages.
